On 19 December 2018, the Government of El Salvador notified, in document G/TBT/N/SLV/203, draft Salvadoran Technical Regulation RTS 01.02.01:18: Metrology. International System of Units, which defines the quantities, units of measurement and symbols corresponding to the International System of Units (SI) and other units outside the SI that have been recognized by the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM). The text also establishes a common language meeting current requirements with respect to the various measurement activities in the country.The purpose of this Addendum is to notify WTO Members that the content of the Salvadoran Technical Regulation has been updated, and that the measure was issued through Decision No. 42 of the Executive Authority for the Economy, published in Official Journal No. 17, Volume No. 446, of 24 January 2025. Furthermore, pursuant to the amendment to paragraph 9.1 set out in that Decision, the Salvadoran Technical Regulation concerned and the additions and changes thereto entered into force on 4 February 2025.__________
